Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, Sheffield star of The Chase, reveals new slimline look

He’s known as The Beast on TV quiz show The Chase – but Sheffield United fan Mark Labbett has revealed a new slimline look after shedding five stones.

The 6ft 6in quiz guru shared photos on his Instagram of his new look – and has vowed to become the ‘skinniest Chaser.’

The 55-year-old star shared a before and after photo of his face revealing his much slimmer features.

Crediting online meal delivery service Muscle Foods for his weight loss, he said: "Leaner, meaner lockdown with good folks of muscle foods. At this rate I will be the skinniest chaser :)"

In another snap the TV star sported a beard and wet hair, writing: "Time for the beard to go :) #cleanshavenbeast"

Labbett, originally from Devon, moved to South Yorkshire in 2013 to spend more time with quiz company Redtooth in Barlborough, near Chesterfield.

The diehard Blades fan was a a regular at Bramall Lane before lockdown.
