A Sheffield man has been left disturbed to see the cemetery where his family members are buried is now covered in long grass and weeds.

Simon Buffey Round, who visits the cemetery once a month throughout the year, said it was "upsetting" to see the state which Tinsley Park Cemetery is now in.

"It never used to be like this. Grass is very long, and around some graves which are really old, there are weeds.

"It never used to look like the way it does now," he said.

He said grass used to be cut every week by the council and the graves were normally kept tidy.

He added: "Something needs to be done to get this cemetery back looking like it used to be.

"I have family who are buried at the cemetery and it's very upsetting to see it in such a state."

The Sheffield City Council have been contacted for a response and they are looking into the complaint.
