A Sheffield singer-songwriter who just missed out on TV stardom on The voice has released his first single

Adam Howarth has released his self-penned song Losing Man and hopes that this time his talent will at last be recognised.

The 28-year-old Hillsborough labourer performed the song on the show in January.

Fans of The Voice will remember Adam’s brilliant performance was an immediate hit with viewers and the audience alike, with members of the studio audience willing the judges to turn.

Unfortunately, none of them did, meaning he bowed out of the competition at the blind auditions stage.

“The single is out today and I think it will be really massive,” said Adam, whose stage name is Howarth.

“I have re-recorded it in the way it should have been done with a friend of mine Ross Hooley in Barnsley.

“I am hoping it will do really well and hopefully it will get me signed to a label.”

A seasoned performer, Adam has been playing gigs since he was 14 and has performed at venues including Sheffield Academy, the Plug and Leadmill, supporting the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Steve Craddock and ELO as a solo performer.

Adam, a civil engineer, was also a member of of Sheffield band Mary Wrote for several years.
