A large blaze broke out near Rotherham United’s New York Stadium on Saturday evening.

The grass fire, which was clearly visible from the stadium, where United beat Burton Albion 3-2, covered an area of 300 square metres.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it was called at 5.17pm today, Saturday, February 1, to reports of a fire near Mountenoy Road.
It sent two crews from Rotherham fire station who quickly extinguished the fire and left the scene just before 6pm.
