‘Keeping everything crossed’: Woman’s hunt for 'bloody gorgeous' Sheffield man she met at airport

Lizzie Radcliffe was waiting for her flight back to the UK after a holiday in Marsa Alam, Egypt when she struck up a conversation with a handsome stranger from Sheffield.

There was an instant spark but, unfortunately, Lizzie never got the chance to ask him out for a drink- and he got away.

Now Lizzie, from Cheshire, has had a ‘funny feeling’ ever since and wants to track him down.

She said: “We sat opposite each other in the smoking area and we struck up a conversation about our holiday.

“He’d been staying at a hotel whilst I was staying in another a couple of miles away.

“He asked where I was from to which I replied Wilmslow, Cheshire and he said he was from Sheffield.

“We were laughing about the airport security who kept wanting to round us up in an airless holding point so we avoided that until the last minute.”

Sadly Lizzie didn’t see the mystery man on the flight, only at the carousel at Manchester Airport just before midnight.

“And then, off he went,” she added. “But hopefully the story doesn’t end like that.

“I would love to meet for a drink if he was remotely interested.”

According to Lizzie, the man wore a red hooded sweatshirt with denim shorts and flip flops (“not that I was taking notice, you understand!” she said).

The man ‘wasn’t clean shaven, about 6’ tall and around 50-years-old’.

“In fact, he was bloody gorgeous,” said Lizzie. “Keeping everything crossed.

“Believe me, it’s not like me to do remotely anything like this but I just had this funny feeling and it won’t go away.”

The flight was a TUI to Manchester, TOM 249 departing 18:40 from Marsa Alam on Wednesday, March 11.
