The Blades star was grounded during Saturday’s 1-1 draw between United and Arsenal at the Gunners Emirates stadium after being walloped in a particularly sensitive area.

But referee Mike Dean, in charge of his 500th Premier League game, didn’t seem to have too much sympathy, chuckling away as United’s physio ran on to tend to the wounded McBurnie.

“It’s his b*****ks,” he could be seen mouthing on camera, while smiling and pointing at his own groin as the Blades striker writhed in agony on the turf.

The 23-year-old Scotland international was soon back on his feet after receiving some treatment.

John Fleck’s 83rd minute leveller earned Chris Wilder’s side a valuable point, keeping the Blades on course for a top ten Premier League finish.
