Despite this, customers were today spotted drinking in the beer garden along Chesterfield Road – with some reportedly not adhering to social distancing guidelines.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police have received two reports regarding people gathering outside this location this afternoon (27 June).”

“Officers have not yet attended as no offence is believed to have been committed, but the local policing team are monitoring the situation and do have the power to disperse gatherings if they need to.”
