It will be called Brinsworth Whitehill SPC FC – with the SPC standing for Sir Paul Carder, as Paul was affectionately known.

Paul’s son Lewis, who has taken over Don Valley Windows, the firm his father founded, said: “This is something I as Paul’s son am really looking forward too and I can’t thank the lads enough for pushing this to happen.

“Also a big thanks to Ian Walker at Brinsworth Whitehill for making this happen very smoothly. I’m sure we will do Paul proud on the pitch.”
