Christian Eriksen collapsed during Denmark’s Euro 2020 match against Finland on Saturday and was rushed to hospital after receiving urgent medical attention on the pitch.
The match was briefly suspended, and it was later confirmed that the Danish midfielder was in a stable condition, allowing both teams to resume their fixture in Copenhagen, with Finland claiming a 1-0 win thanks to Joel Pohjanpalo’s 59th-minute goal.

Sheffield Football Club tweeted from their account, saying: “All thoughts with Christian Eriksen right now.”
Sheffield Wednesday put out a post featuring Denmark’s national flag and a prayer emoji in support of the Inter Milan player.
Sheffield United Player Ben Osborn said: “Horrific Scenes, please, please pull through. Can’t imagine what his family are going through right now.”

Scotland and Sheffield United striker Oli Mcburnie said: “Pull through brother.”
The Danish Football Association have released a positive statement regarding Eriksen’s condition and have thanked everyone for the ‘heartfelt greetings’.
They said: “This morning, we have spoken to Christian Eriksen, who has sent his greetings to his teammates. His condition is stable, and he continues to be hospitalized for further examination.
