Firm supports Sheffield Children's Hospital

A giftware company is celebrating a year of invaluable support for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Puckator, which has bases in Sheffield, Cornwall, Italy and Spain, has 25 years’ experience as an importer, designer and trade supplier of wholesale giftware, collectables, home ware and novelties.

Due to celebrate its 30th anniversary next year, its Sheffield employees based at Park Hill host their designers for the French, Swedish and German markets.

For the last 12 months, it has also been steadfast in its support for The Children’s Hospital Charity. Beginning by sponsoring a snowflake on Sheffield Children’s Hospital, it provided £3,500 of free stock, from pocket money toys and cushions to elf merchandise to support the charity’s National Elf Service appeal.

The company then manufactured £10,000 worth of specially-designed water bottles, branded with The Children’s Hospital Charity’s mascot Theo Bear. Made from reinforced Tritan plastic to avoid breakage, the bottles have proved a big hit with patients and families as well as helping to boost fundraising efforts.

Matt Shaw, 49, who has been Sales Director at the firm for 24 years, explained: “It’s part of what you do when you go into business, it’s a really good feeling to support local charities and The Children’s Hospital Charity is such a good cause.

“We’d love to play our part in helping keep the hospital at the forefront of children’s care. We’d love to do more to help in the future.”
