His funeral is taking place this weekend, and a convoy of bikers will follow behind the procession, in a tribute to the bike-mad youngster.

Wesley called for anyone taking part to be respectful.

He said, in a social media post: “Please remember, this isn't an opportunity for people to show off to other bikers how good you are at tearing up the road and being a hooligan. I hoped it would be a great way to send him off, having respectful and well-intentioned bikers doing this.

“Any crazy behaviour would be unfair on our little boy and on our family. Its going to be a dark day and the last thing we would want is for it to have to be called off or ruined mid way through.

“We all are so grateful and touched by the support, blown away by the numbers and couldn’t thank you all enough, but please, let make this a send off to remember for all of the right reasons.”
