Family-run South Yorkshire business donates 10,000 bottles of hand sanitiser across the country

A South Yorkshire company has donated more than 10,000 bottles of hand sanitiser to facilities across the country.

Watermans Hair, which specialises in creating products to combat hair loss, decided to donate the product to NHS centres, police, and care homes across the country after being appalled at how many retailers were hiking the price of their stock.

The company, which was founded by Gail and Matt Waterman in 2014, decided to change their manufacturing to focus on helping those in need during the global health pandemic.

CEO Matt said: “At Watermans, we feel a strong sense of responsibility to support the efforts for the most vulnerable during this unprecedented crisis.

“The NHS, police and front line healthcare workers are doing an amazing job looking after the sick, looking after people who have unfortunately suffered from this virus and providing the essentials to the communities.

“We feel it is our right to be able to help and provide them with hand sanitisers.

“We believe in good karma and are proud to contribute to the needs of the NHS, police and health care workers across the UK."

The company, which has its head office in Rotherham, already regularly donates its hair growth GROWME shampoo to chemo units across the region.

The pair created the product after both struggling to maintain their own hair, and it is now a bestseller on Amazon, selling on average one bottle every 30 seconds.
