Family of six escapes house blaze in Sheffield

A family of six escaped a house fire in Sheffield in the early hours of this morning.

Two adults and four children escaped from the burning semi-detatched home in Northern Avenue, Arbourthorne, at 12.15am.

They fled after discovering a ground floor blaze, which had started around the front door of their property.

Three fire engines were deployed to the blaze and crews spent around two hours at the scene.
