Family of missing Sheffield man 'worried sick' as they share new details of latest sighting

The family of a Sheffield man who has been missing since Tuesday say they are ‘worried sick’ as the search continues.

David Fox was last seen at his home address in the Beighton area of Sheffield on Tuesday, April 28, at around 10am, according to police.

His niece Jade Fox yesterday told how the police, his family and friends were all out looking for the 43-year-old, as she issued an update.

She told how many people know him as Bruce, he is vulnerable and he is now believed to have been seen most recently on CCTV in Tesco at the Bottom of Beighton on Thursday at 7.30am.

She added that he had also recently been seen on the Trans Pennine Trail at Sothall Green and is thought to still be in the local area but ‘he can walk for miles without recollection’.

“We’re begging if you see anything, even if you think it may or may not be him, please ring 101 and CONTACT ME immediately!” she wrote.

“The whole family are worried sick but we are all very great full for your kind thoughts and comments at this difficult time.”

Police have described David as being of stocky build and around 5ft4ins, with short brown hear. He is believed to be wearing a grey woolly hat, a khaki green jacket, blue jeans and carrying a large dark coloured backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 224 of April 28.
