Ecclesall Road: Latest food hygiene ratings of bars, restaurants and takeaways on popular Sheffield street

Ecclesall Road is a busy street donning dozens of bars, restaurants and takeaways – but how do they fare on the food hygiene rating scheme?

Ecclesall Road is a popular hub of food and drink establishments, and according to recent data from the Food Standards Agency, it is home to more than 80 cafes, takeaways, restaurants and pubs along the stretch.

Where to pop in for a meal or a quick bite to eat can be a difficult choice to make, so to help you make an informed decision, we have pulled together a list of the latest food establishments which have been inspected by the FSA since 2022.

Each inspection has been carried out by a food safety officer at Sheffield City Council, in partnership with FSA, to ensure that the food business is following food hygiene law and that the food they serve is safe to eat.

The rating given reflects the food hygiene standards found at the time of inspection, and can score from zero, which means ‘urgent improvement is required’, to five, which means hygiene standards are ‘very good’, and the establishment fully complies with the law.
