Proceeds from the raffle along with other fundraising efforts will help pay for a wheelchair accessible path at the memory garden - which is part of community project Cafe Hug, in High Green.

Norma Smith, a volunteer at High Green Development Trust which runs Cafe Hug, said the members of the famous Sheffield band were keen to support the project - as they all grew up in the north Sheffield suburb.

Speaking about the garden Norma said it was now being opened up to “anyone” struggling with mental health problems.

Visitors can go along every Monday for a couple of hours to socialise or just sit and enjoy the outdoors with refreshments.

Norma says adaptions to the garden could cost in excess of £6,000 but she is hopeful of working with a company that will provide labour free of charge.

She added: “We’ll have to fund the materials so we’re desperately trying to raise the money for that.” The raffle will be drawn on April 7.

Tickets can be purchased High Green Development Trust’s Campus building on Pack Horse Lane or by messaging High Green Fundraising Group via its Facebook page.
