Hide AdAndy Horton, watch manager at Misterton, said: “We practised firefighting techniques on the simulated engine fire and then six of the Misterton crew entered the smoke-logged training simulator, wearing breathing apparatus, to search for and rescue missing ‘passengers’ (training dummies).
“All Misterton firefighters are on-call, meaning they have other full time jobs and serve their community during their time off. The airport firefighters, from white watch, were very welcoming, enthusiastic and professional.”
