Doncaster Rovers to host all-star fundraising celebrity football match this summer
Doncaster Rovers will be welcoming a galaxy of stage and screen stars for a celebrity fundraising football match this summer.
The Keepmoat Stadium is staging the Sellebrity Soccer event on June 7 in aid of The Lucy Rayner Foundation – with a feast of celebrities set to take part.
Among those who have signed up so far are EastEnders stars Jake Wood (Max Branning), Dean Gaffney (Robbie Jackson) and Jacqueline Jossa, who also won I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019 as well as Celebrity Big Brother stars Dan Osbourne and Calum Best, son of football idol George.
Others lined-up for the game are TOWIE’s James Argent, soap star Danny Boy Hatchard, Jack Fowler, Sam Gowland and Dom Lever, all of Love Island, Soccer AM star Tubes, as well as Man Like Haks, Marvin Brooks and Kevin Cooper.
Sellebrity Soccer was launched in 2012 by Darren Eadie and Kevin Cooper and the match is in aid of the Lucy Rayner Foundation Charity, set up by the Rayner family after their daughter Lucy took her own life in 2012.
The charity aims to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of mental health in young adults through education, campaigning and fundraising events.
The match will kick off at 7.30pm – with turnstiles opening at 6pm.
Ticket prices are as follows: Adult £10, concessions £5, VIP tickets £35.
