Jack Hawley at The Grange in Hatfield has been named CAMRA Doncaster and district branch Pub of the Season for Autumn 2019.

The award is given to pubs which have promoted real ale and CAMRA, and played a part in community life, so members must have visited a pub and sampled its ales before nominating it for the award.

Ian Jones, Chairman of CAMRA Doncaster and District Branch, said: “Jack Hawley's well kept ales and convivial atmosphere combined to make them outright winners.”

Ian Boyall, Licensee of Jack Hawley, thanked CAMRA for their recognition, his staff and fabulous customers.

Sharing the news of the pub’s official Facebook page, he wrote: “I’d like to share some fantastic news with our customers, and thank everyone for the wonderful support we’ve had over since opening the doors, in May last year. Again thank you everyone.”

The micropub, which has only been open for 20 months, received even more good news as Jack Hawley's are now in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide book.

The guide is a book released each year containing the best pubs in the country for real ale. There are only 12 pubs from Doncaster in the 2020 edition.

The pub is already a member of Timothy Taylor’s Champion Club too, which is in recognition of continued custom and dedication to excellent cellarmanship from pubs which sell the brands’ beer.

Jack Hawley at The Grange is open weekdays from 5pm to 11pm and weekends 12pm to 11pm.
