Doncaster Conservative MP announces first constituency surgeries as he returns to Parliament

Doncaster’s new Conservative MP has announced his first constituency surgeries to address residents’ concerns after returning to Parliament following the Christmas break.

Nick Fletcher, who ousted Labour’s Caroline Flint at the General Election in December, will host two surgery meetings this Friday – his first since being elected.

He will be at the Hill Top Centre between 9.15 and 10.15 and Conisbrough Library between 10.45 and 11.45am.

He said: “I will be there to meet people. If anyone has any matters they would like help with please come along.”

He also revealed on Facebook that he has had a meeting with Doncaster Council chief executive Damian Allen to discuss his plans for Don Valley.

He described it as a “really constructive meeting building a great relationship to move Don Valley forward.”

Mr Fletcher became an MP after previously running an electrical contracting firm in Harworth.
