Hundreds of demonstrators joined a rally and a flash dance in Sheffield city centre to support a campaign against violence towards women.

Know the Line and other women’s campaign groups joined Sheffield TUC members between 11am and 1pm, today, Saturday, February 15, at Barkers Pool, Sheffield.

Sheffield TUC was also joined by the Sheffield People’s Assembly stall to also help highlight the problems of sexual harassment at work.

The TUC urged people who braved Storm Dennis to sign their petition for stronger legislation to protect workers.

The union revealed that its Sheffield Needs a Pay Rise campaign claims to have discovered evidence of widespread sexual harassment of low-paid women workers n Sheffield.

Know the Line and other women’s campaign groups performed a “One Billion Rising” flash dance despite the rain and strong wind on Sheffield’s City Hall steps in a bid to help stop violence against women.
