A crew spokesperson also refused to comment when approached.

The show follows the fortunes of an ice hockey team and an ice dancing team forced to share the same rink.

There is little information about the drama so far, but the cast includes Christina Tam, who has appeared in Hollyoaks and Transformers: The Last Knight.

Last summer, filming took place in Parson Cross and elsewhere in Sheffield for the big screen adaption of the hit Sheffield musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Sheffield also had a starring role in the last series of Doctor Who, with the Park Hill flats among locations across the city which featured prominently.
