The ten finalists will now be voted on by the general public, with each community putting their case forward for why they should be the overall winner.

They said: “Everyone rallies round, even in this difficult time everyone is out chatting from their drives.

“Our street is known throughout the neighbourhood for being friendly and fun.

“The majority of the children go to the same school and other kids from the school want to come and live on our street as they’ve heard how fun it is.

“Bouncing castles are out and sprinklers in the street... just how I remember our childhood. Someone’s short of a bag of sugar or flour? Not a problem!

“Someone needs some work printing off or a shelf putting up? Not a problem! There’s always someone there to lend a hand. Nothing is ever too much!!

“I would love to win this as a big ‘thank you’ to my wonderful neighbours, for their support and friendship!”

Voting will close on May 31 before the overall winner is announced later in the year.
