The comedian has been using breaking news stories around people panic buying products as inspiration for each comical poem written. He has since turned his attention to humorously altering the lyrics to a few songs.

The inspiration for a rewritten song came from a choral society called Sheffield Singers, where it was suggested to alter the lyrics of songs like, Imagine by John Lennon, to suit modern times.

Wayne said: “People need something to pick them up through these unprecedented times. Ever since I’ve started writing these poems, people have been suggesting that the choral society could perform the rewritten songs to raise money for organisations in need.

“If a choral society should perform a rewritten version to raise money, I’d love the proceeds to go to the NHS.”
