Christmas comes early for lucky Sheffield neighbours as they celebrate People’s Postcode Lottery win

The two neighbours from Middlewood Road netted the windfall when S6 1TE was announced as a Daily Prize winner on Tuesday (December 24).

Congratulating the winners, People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: "Merry Christmas to our winners in Sheffield.

"What a brilliant way to celebrate the festive season!"

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes across the world.

The draw was promoted by War Child which has received over £11.3 million in funding from the players of People's Postcode Lottery.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players support, and the next opportunity local charities will have to apply for funding will be early next year.
