The Shiregreen Community Awards 2020, which are organised by Sanctuary Housing, marks the contributions of Shiregreen residents and volunteers who are dedicated to supporting projects and community groups across the area.

Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager, Melanie King, said there are ten awards that people can be nominated for, and she looks forward to seeing who is nominated and why.

“I’m confident that the ten categories on offer mean that the contributions of all unsung heroes in Shiregreen – regardless of age, gender or ability – will be able to be recognised.”

The ten award categories include Volunteer of the Year, Make a Difference award, Health Heroes, Friend of the Year, Community Venue of the Year, What’s your Game? Family Award and Young Achiever of the Year.
