“Unfortunately due to the current lockdown, our financial situation has become compromised. As a small farm we are not entitled to the substantial grants that larger establishments can access.

“We’ve now had no income for near on three months and the situation has become desperate.

“We hope that you’d like to sponsor one of our animals to help with their upkeep during this lockdown period. We would also appreciate any other donations no matter how small.”

For a £20 fee, sponsors will receive pictures and videos of their chosen animal, get their name framed by the animal’s enclosure and also receive a one to one experience with their animal when the farm is able to re-open.

The farm near Haxey has become well known in recent years for its belly-busting breakfasts which have become popular with competitive eaters.

Owner Ted Phillips created the huge Terminator 2 fry-up which has eight sausages, eight rashers of bacon, eight eggs, eight hash browns, baked beans, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and eight slices of toast - and also comes with a mug of tea or coffee.
