Bunk, a bar famous for serving cocktails and chicken wings, opened its doors in Sheffield for the first time last night, September 14, and will officially launch this Friday, September 18.

The Sheffield site, now its fifth, is located at 24 Carver Street, and replaces popular Paris nightclub.

Bunk already has popular outlets in Nottingham and Derby, and is known for its happy hours and late night licences, and diners have taken to social media to express their happiness at the bar choosing Sheffield as its next destination.

Isabel Joynes said on Twitter: “Today, I have just found out that there is a new Bunk opening in Sheffield and I am actually over the moon!! Even more excited now to get back!”

Leah added today: “BUZZING that a bunk has opened in Sheffield.”

Alice Pinch commented on the opening on Facebook by saying: “I love the bunk in Notts. Good cocktails and great chicken wings (+ vegetarian wings).”

Bunk is open every evening this week to trial the new establishment as they prepare for the official opening on Friday.

The Sheffield bar will be open from 5pm-12am on Sunday to Friday, and open slightly earlier at 3pm on Saturdays.

Its cocktails include sweet concoctions featuring childhood favourites like Parma Violets and Drumstick lollies, alongside classics such as Mojito’s, Zombie’s and Woo Woo’s.

Bunk’s wings are available with sauces ranging from maple and bourbon to an explosive Naga Viper chilli variety, while other dishes include Icelandic-style beer-soaked hot dogs and chicken burgers, as well as an array of vegetarian options.

They also offer a range of sides, with everything from halloumi fries and hash browns, to celery and carrot sticks.

To coincide with its official launch, Bunk is offering everyone the chance to win a one of 10 free vouchers for cocktails and wings through its Facebook page.
