Badly parked cars leave fire engine stuck on way to Sheffield incident
Firefighters were unable to get down a Sheffield street on their way to an incident last night because of badly parked cars.
It happened in Manvers Road, Beighton, and this was the latest in a string of similar incidents in which fire engines have not been able to pass vehicles.
Fortunately, this time the incident turned out to be a false alarm and a driver did come out to move their car.
But a fire service spokesperson said the obstruction “still cost us valuable time” and added: “Next time you're parking up please think - could a fire engine get through?”
