Badly parked cars leave fire engine stuck on way to Sheffield incident
Firefighters were unable to get down a Sheffield street on their way to an incident because of badly parked cars.
It happened in Manvers Road, Beighton, on Tuesday night and was the latest in a string of similar incidents in which fire engines have not been able to pass vehicles.
This time the incident turned out to be a false alarm and a driver did come out to move their car.
But a fire service spokesperson said the obstruction ‘still cost us valuable time’ and added: “Next time you're parking up please think - could a fire engine get through?”
