Animal lovers help police track down injured dog on streets of Sheffield
Animal lovers concerned about an injured dog spotted walking the streets of Sheffield reported it to the police - and now the poorly pooch is getting the care he needs.
Bruno, a Cane Corso, is receiving care after members of the community raised concerns to police officers about his welfare.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Our Dog Legislation Officers were made aware of a video circulating on social media this week of Bruno walking around with a severely injured tail.
“Thanks to valuable information from the local community and close collaboration with our partners at the RSPCA (England & Wales), we swiftly tracked down Bruno in Sheffield and ensured he got the care and treatment he needed.
“Sadly, his tail could not be saved and required amputation.
“However, he is now in the care of the RSPCA, in good spirits and is expected to make a full recovery.
“An investigation is underway by the RSPCA and we’d like to thank the members of the public who brought this matter to our attention.
“Our DLOs undertake a range of duties to protect our communities and the animals living within it. If you have concerns over an animal in need, report to the RSPCA here: https://orlo.uk/Lbw1R.”
