Sheffield has many charities and services that work hard to rehome animals that have ended up without a home through no fault of their own.

9. Billy, a 10 year old Staffy cross
Billy is being cared for by Helping Yorkshire Poundies. He had been abandoned in a property and was terribly underweight and limping. Since entering HYP’s care he has put on weight and is now on pain relief for his sore knees. He doesn’t let this stop him as he loves to run and walk. He is very fit and super friendly. He is housetrained and knows lots of commands. He has shown no issues around other dogs. He is doing better at being left alone in his kennel, but when he moves into his new home he will need time and patience while he settles. He is so sad and desperately needs a loving home.
10. Poppy, a 9 year old Staffy
Poppy is the most perfect Staffy princess you could meet. She sadly come into the care of Helping Yorkshire Poundies after her previous owner passed away, and she needs to be in a new loving home as soon as possible. She loves her comforts and wants to be wrapped up warm and spoiled rotten with toys, belly rubs and cuddles. She loves people and is very well behaved - she is housetrained, happy to be left alone for a few hours, travels well and walks nicely on lead. She needs a pet-free home as she is a bit grumpy around other dogs. She needs surgery to remove some lumps so she needs a foster home initially for her to undergo the operation and recover.
