A PENSIONER died after he was struck by a bus as he tried to cross a Sheffield road.
The 79-year-old, who has not yet been named, was fatally injured on Lowedges Road, Lowedges, at 6.55pm last night.
Police said he was standing at the junction of Lowedges Road and Lowedges Crescent waiting to cross the road when he stepped out from the single decker’s offside.
The OAP suffered fatal head and neck injuries.
Police said 60-year-old bus driver, from Sheffield, was unhurt.
