Pensioner fighting for life after collision in Sheffield

A pensioner is fighting for lifer after a collision in Sheffield.

The 75-year-old woman was walking along Blast Lane, near to the canal off Derek Dooley Way in the city centre, when she was struck by a black Vauxhall Zafira.

Police said the 45-year-old woman driving the vehicle, which was travelling towards Cadman Street, was unharmed.

Witnesses to the collision at around noon yesterday should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 427 of July 2.
