Pedestrian rushed to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after crash on Sheffield road

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on a busy Sheffield road.

The man was involved in a collision with a Mercedes Sprinter van on Prince of Wales Road, near Manor Top, at 9am today.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but they are not believed to be life threatening.

The road was blocked and traffic was diverted while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 187 of October 14.
