Pedestrian breaks foot in collision with car after Sheffield United game

A man ended up with a broken foot after a collision with a car following a Sheffield United game.

The pedestrian was hit by a black Peugeot 307 at the junction of Charlotte Road and Edmund Road, near to the Bramall Lane ground, at around 9.50pm on Tuesday, March 28.

Police officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision have only released details of the incident this morning.

PC Jake Broughton, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “The collision happened after a football match had finished and there were lots of people walking near to the ground and where the incident happened.

“I’d like to ask anyone who saw what happened, or who saw the pedestrian or the car prior to the collision to please contact us."
