Pedal power to help hospital

A ‘MAGNIFICENT dozen’ of cyclists each pedalled up to 100 miles across the countryside to help raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.

The riders, who ranged in age from 14 to their late 50s, rode on a route from Rother Valley Country Park.

All were parishioners of St Mark’s Church, Mosborough, plus friends and family.

The vicar, Rev Susan Stewart, said: “All 12 riders were magnificent and completed or exceeded targets they had set themselves. I was very proud of all of them.

“I would also like to say thank you to everyone who helped on the day with marshalling.

“We have no proper idea of the total raised yet as we have sponsor forms and collecting tins outstanding, but I think it will be in the region of £1,500.”
