She’s the Star’s RSPCA dog of the week.

Pebbles is a lady with dashing looks who would love to win a race into your heart.

The blue brindle lurcher is currently being cared for at the RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre.

Care manager Tony Benham said: “Pebbles is a totally lovable lady with the sweetest intelligent face. She has a regal quality mixed with a very appealing nature!

“She is only a year old and came into our centre this June with no known health issues. All she needs is a loving and caring home, especially one that can offer Pebbles the patience she needs while she develops confidence in new situations.

“Despite her sensitive nature, she absolutely loves to be out and about, playing and exploring, and is very loving and affectionate.”

Pebbles’ new owners would need to provide her with three walks a day of 30 to 45 minutes.

The RSPCA is open daily from 12.30pm until 3.30pm except Wednesdays when it opens 5pm to 7pm. Call 0114 2898050.
