Rail passengers in Sheffield could face disruption this evening, with peak hour trains to and from the city cancelled.
Neither the 5.40pm Leeds-Sheffield nor the 6.50pm Sheffield-Leeds service will run today, with operator Northern Rail blaming a higher than usual number of repairs required to its running stock.

The services were due to run via Meadowhall, Barnsley and Wakefield Kirkgate.
Northern Rail said: "The cancellations are due to more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time."
It advised passengers to check for the latest travel information on the Northern Rail website.
