Officers were called to the B6012 at Beeley near Chatsworth at 5.20pm today (Sunday, July 26) following reports of a collision involving a motorbike and a car.
The road has been closed between Pilsley and Rowsley and drivers are currently being advised to avoid the area.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact police on 101 quoting reference 992 of July 26.
