Well, my parking fine wasn’t quashed. I waited a year to have my appeal heard. They said the hearing would take 15 minutes but it took an hour.
They told me it was informal, it wasn’t. The council sent a senior manager and the traffic adjudicator made me present my evidence in a very formal manner.
My advice is don’t bother collecting evidence, getting photos, filling out forms or preparing your case, the adjudicator doesn’t read it anyway.
Just pay the initial fine it’s cheaper in the long run.
Also, did you know as you go through the traffic lights on Park Square roundabout coming into Sheffield, you pass two signs which start a controlled parking zone which means you cannot park anywhere in the city centre between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday?
