HE HAD a patchy start to life - but hopefully things are about to pick up for this handsome hound.

One-year-old Patch is a gentle, affectionate, white and brindle dog who is looking for a special home as he is timid around strangers.

A special, experienced owner is needed to provide security, stability and routine.

Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield animal care manager, said: “Patch is a special boy. Unfortunately, due to his insecure personality, he struggles to adapt and cope with new situations and people he doesn’t know.

“His ideal home would be with owners who are experienced in working with insecure dogs with separation anxiety, or someone willing to listen and undertake the advice and training we can offer.”
