Passengers suggest improvements

Have your say

SUGGESTIONS by passengers have been used to make improvements to public transport facilities in South Yorkshire.

At Barnsley Interchange, people complained that it was hard to read information screens in sunshine, so transport chiefs are looking into fitting anti-glare screens.

At Rotherham Interchange, there were requests for tannoy announcements when buses are delayed.

In Sheffield, passengers asked for maps of bus services in the railway station, which are now on display.

The suggestions were made to South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive as part of the organisation’s You Said, We Did customer feedback scheme.

Other improvements have included developing a mobile phone version of the South Yorkshire travel information website.
