A Sheffield woman who was left heartbroken after the holiday company she was using for her hen party went bust has been given some good news.

Owlerton Greyhound Stadium has offered devastated Olivia Harrison – now Parssison – a free hen party for her and all her friends after The Star highlighted her plight.

Olivia, aged 27, was left devastated after holiday company Rainbow Villas went bust – leaving her hen party of 25 women £6,000 out of pocket and with nowhere to stay.

The women had planned a three-night stay in a villa in Marbella, Spain, but discovered the company was being investigated by Spanish police amid allegations British husband and wife Mark and Michelle Stafford scammed hen and stag parties by taking payments for properties they did not own.

Olivia will now have a post-wedding hen party in August with a night in an executive box at Owlerton Stadium and a buffet.

She said: “I was extremely upset when I found out the holiday I had been planning for a year was a scam and that we would have to pay out again for different accommodation in Marbella.

“When I was contacted with the offer of a hen party at Owlerton Stadium I was overwhelmed. I can’t believe the generosity of the stadium, I’m very grateful. We’re all really looking forward to the post-wedding hen party number two!”
