Peak District National Park Authority representatives are applying for an exemption from Government plans to allow offices to be converted to housing without planning permission.

The authority has decided to apply for an exemption for the whole national park because it fears the change would harm the economy while not helping a shortage of affordable housing.

There are offices in Bakewell, Hathersage, Youlgrave and Great Hucklow which could be affected.
