Research reveals 53 per cent of Sheffield children know more about technology than their parents.

The study, by electronic learning toy manufacturer VTech, reveals 44 per cent of Sheffield youngsters would like to send them to a technology school so they can get to grips with modern gadgets.

And 47 per cent of Sheffield children said they get annoyed when their parents ask for help to fix problems with their laptops and mobiles.

Those aged eight and nine were most embarrassed by parents’ lack of gadget knowledge with more than 23 per cent admitting they blush.
