HUNDREDS of disabled sports players from across South Yorkshire will be competing at the weekend.

Barnsley Rotary Disability Games take place on Sunday and more than 400 people are taking part.

Among guests are Premiership football referee Howard Webb, who is set to present medals, and Paralympic silver medal-winning cyclist, Karen Darke.

Barnsley Rockley Rotary Club, which is organising the games, is also holding a fundraising meal for MENCAP Barnsley, after the charity had equipment stolen.

The meal is on Wednesday, April 17, at the Holiday Inn, Barnsley, and tickets cost £10.
