Police have released images of two people they want to speak to after a 88-year-old woman’s purse was stolen in Sheffield.

The incident is believed to have happened while the victim was in Marks & Spencer on Fargate on Friday, July 31.

A short time later a large amount of cash was withdrawn using the bank card.

PC Mike Smith, from Snig Hill Police Station, said: “We have previously appealed to the public as part of this investigation but we are still looking to identify this man and woman.

“The quality of the CCTV could be better, however, I’m confident that anyone knowing these people will recognise them and I would urge them to come forward.

“Stealing a purse from an 88-year-old woman is disgusting and I want to ensure we catch those responsible.”
