A pair of super-size trampoline parks will be opened in Rotherham and Sheffield, creating more than 70 new jobs.
Leisure firm Jump Inc is opening a giant indoor trampoline park costing £1.2million that will let people bounce off the walls at Parkgate retail park later this year.
The 30,000 square foot site will host more than 140 interconnected trampolines, airbags, slam dunk nets and ‘super trampolines’
There will also be junior trampoline classes, fitness classes and wall running classes.
The purpose-built park will be open seven days a week and will also feature a café and viewing gallery.
After the park is built at Parkgate, Jump Inc plans to open a second trampoline park near Meadowhall.
Chris Hayes, the founder of Jump Inc, who grow up in Handsworth, Sheffield said, “I became aware of trampoline parks on a visit to Australia and thought the concept would work well right here in South Yorkshire.
“This is a very exciting project to be pulling together.
“It’s a huge investment in the local region and we will be creating around 70 new jobs across the two sites. We wanted to do this in our local community to promote health, wellbeing and quality family time - encouraging all ages to get active while having fun.”
“Our aim is to be market leaders in the UK with more parks planned in 2016.
“While this is a new sector in the UK leisure market, we aim to lead the sector through innovation, park design and out-of-this-world customer service for an unrivalled leisure experience in a safe environment.
“We will be looking to recruit local people to become part of the business and help us grow Jump Inc. into the UK’s leading trampoline park operator.”
