A MAN and two women were rushed to hospital after a two-vehicle smash in Sheffield.
The women had to be cut from the wreckage when a Peugeot and a VW collided near The Cross Scythes pub on Scarsdale Road, Woodseats.
Fire crews used a carbon dioxide extinguisher to put out the flames and police sealed off part of Scarsdale Road until the damaged vehicles were recovered just before 6.30pm on Thursday.

Paramedics treated a man in Clowne, Derbyshire, for smoke inhalation after a fire at a garage in Station Road. Crews used a hose reel to put out the flames at 2.30pm on Thursday.
A FURTHER demonstration is taking place in Sheffield today against the £2.44 million bonus given to Royal Bank of Scotland’s chief executive, Stephen Hester. SOUTH Yorkshire UKIP Euro MP Godfrey Bloom is demanding the Government opts out of an EU directive banning all herbal medicines manufactured by unlicensed practitioners. The directive is due to come into force on May 1 in the UK, unless the Government sets up its own statutory regulation on alternative and complementary medicine.
